SAVED 098 – PAOLO ROCCO – PEOPLE SAY – OUT NOW

Saved Records logoCanadian artist Paolo Rocco makes his debut on Saved with “People Say”.
From the top there is a unique seductive pad that pans creatively over the cut back percussion. The bass line enters early on and stands out with its original pattern and alternating frequencies,
working well with the crisp clap that programmes itself in and out. The vocals are what makes the track. They are catchy just like the bass line, and are processed effectively, maintaining a nice, fresh groove.

Over on the flip side is a remix from label boss Nic Fanciulli that utilises the original parts
effectively and maintains an energetic pace with smart programming. Both mixes have been creating a real buzz across scene and are available
on digital download and 12″.

&ME – “Matters & Ashes” EP OUT NOW

BUY NOW ON BEATPORT

&ME is returns to Saved and this time round delivers yet another outstanding EP.
First up on the A Side is “Matters”. From the top the record commands a lot of attention with it’s rolling, rich bassline surrounded by punchy, organic drums. The effective vocal moves with the track as more drums are added to the mix through intelligent programming. As it reaches the main drop the drum rolls create an intense buildup leading to the record kicking back in.

On the flipside is “Ashes”. The record has a cool, slow feel to it with a driving edge that progresses up and up towards the drop. The intensity of the record is just as big as the other side and seals off the package perfectly.
